Gantry Scanner Rotating Pipe UT System

Pipe Ultrasonic Inspection, Rotating Pipe UT System (RPUTS) provides ultrasonic inspection for round tubular and bar products using Localised Water Hold Probe mechanism.

Features:

  • Fully automated gantry based Ultrasonic Testing System.

  • Full volumetric, conventional ultrasonic inspection of round products (seamless tubes/Pipes, billets etc.) using the synchronous rotation of the product and a linear travel of UT head on a gantry.

  • Localised water hold technique for minimised testing water consumption.

  • Optional surface inspection by Array Eddy Current technique.

  • Wall thickness monitoring/checking.

  • Typical inspection speeds up to 10m/min (with dual head configuration).

  • Advanced digital data acquisition and reporting system.

  • Optional pipe/tube/bar handling system (unscrambler, feeding table, reference, infeed, outfeed conveyor, accept/reject cradles, singling & Transfer mechanism with automation)
